While I spend a good portion of my time writing about music over on Swim Into The Sound, that publication is not a money-making venture. My love for music is just that: a passion, and generally, I’m happy just to have a space to geek out about music I love.
Occasionally, I have accepted money or merch in exchange for a band bio, honing that passion and knowledge into a refined piece of storytelling that allows a band to introduce themselves to a prospective audience in a more formal and objective way from an outside perspective. Since I spend all day listening to music, it’s always rewarding to see this writing perched atop a band’s streaming profile, and it’s always an incredibly fun challenge to find a band’s narrative and capture their career in that exact moment.
